The Park Slope Food Coop Concert Series #15 – Family and Kids Edition

March 15 @ 2:00 pm
Free

🎢 A Family Concert & Creative Activity Day

Presented by the Park Slope Food Coop Concert Series Committee in Collaboration with the PSFC Fun Committee 🎨

Bring the whole crew β€” kids, grown-ups, grandparents, neighbors β€” for an afternoon of live music and hands-on creativity designed especially for young ears and playful hearts.

This joyful, community-powered event celebrates music as a shared language β€” one that brings generations together through rhythm, movement, imagination, and fun.

🌟

🎡 Live Music for All Ages (Curated by the Concert Series Committee) An engaging, welcoming concert experience where children are free to listen, move, dance, and experience live music up close β€” right alongside parents and caregivers.

  • The Kugel crew
  • Brandon LΓ³pez
  • Debbie Brukman & Benjamin Heller

🎨 Creative Activity Stations (Hosted by the Fun Committee) Three hands-on stations will be set up throughout the space so families can create before, during, or after the music:

  • Face Painting & Fun Tattoos (with stencils!)
  • Coloring & Card-Making Station
  • Mask Decorating & Mask-Making

Kids can rotate between stations, express themselves creatively, and take their creations home.

Members and Non-members are all welcome!

The Park Slope Food Coop Concert Series is one of the most exciting initiatives we undertake as a community. With so many gifted and talented members, creating this series was a natural decision and a no-brainer. The baton of music and performance curation was passed on to Ludovica and Alexis by Beverly Grantβ€”a great artist and long-time member since the inception of the Food Coop. Beverly is an artist, photographer, singer-songwriter, composer, and activist who has greatly contributed to our community.

Jason Weiner and the membership staff have played a key role in bringing this event to life. We thank them for sharing the same joy and respect for the arts, which enriches all walks of life. Before the shutdown, this concert series was a crucial and pinnacle way of bringing us closer together as a community that truly cares about the world around us. Art, in every aspect of our human experience, is a life-healing force. Alexis Cuadrado and Ludovica Burtone are both professional musicians, composers, producers, and educators. They have expanded the vision of the curation to create a platform for freedom of expression for all. ShapeShifter Lab visionaries Fortuna Sung and Matthew Garrison have also become vital to our mission, generously providing us with their performance space across the street from the Food Coop. Annie Keating does the magic with social media and Ave Carrillo is helping the group to the production side of things the concert series.
