Born and raised in Manhattan, Max is a dynamic composer and improviser shaped by NYC’s music scene and mentors like Dabin Ryu and Linda May Han Oh. As a former student leader of the Bowery Jazz Messengers, he helped bring jazz to the Bowery Mission and other nonprofits, supporting New Yorkers in need. Currently at Berklee, Max is happy to return to NYC to play some new music before heading to Europe. The Bowery Jazz Messengers proudly support Max as an exciting new voice in jazz.
