Sam Konin Trio

Sam Konin is an acclaimed young electric and upright bassist. At 15 years old has worked with the likes of Johnathan Blake, Dayna Stephens, Ben Solomon, and Gilad Hekselman, among others. A native of New Jersey, he performs regularly across NJ and New York City. Joining him on his first NYC date as a bandleader are tenor saxophonist Mark Shim and drummer Jongkuk Kim. This trio’s unique layout was designed to allow Konin to take a more chordal approach, expanding the traditional role of the electric bass.
