This evening features the beauty of 11 and 13, in compositions and arrangements by Josh and Gilad.
Joshua Davis is the Director of Jazz Studies at Penn State. Recent performances include televised concerts in Turkey with Randy Brecker, Sean Rickman, and Timucin Sahin, and a U.S. Dept. of State-sponsored Armenia concert with Jerry Bergonzi and Vardan Ovsepian.
Gilad Hekselman tours globally as a bandleader, and has shared the stage with some of the greatest artists in jazz including Chris Potter, Eric Harland, Fred Hersch, Mark Turner, Anat Cohen, Ari Hoenig, Esperanza Spalding, Jeff Ballard, Ben Wendel, Gretchen Parlato, Ben Williams, Avishai Cohen, Tigran Hamasyan, Aaron Parks and Becca Stevens among many others.
Ivanna Cuesta won first place in the PASIC “Hit like a Girl 2019” contest, and has performed with Kris Davis, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Cassandra Wilson, Leo Blanco, Jacques Schwarz-Bart, Tia Fuller, and many more. She is currently a member of the Berklee Institute for Jazz and Gender Justice directed by Terri Lyne Carrington.
