The core members of The Aviators include David Sneider, Andrew Vinther and Peter Glynn, who met while attending the Juilliard School. They hope to emulate the thrill of flying through unrestrained, highly-interactive improvisation.
David Sneider is a jazz trumpeter and composer who is the first place winner of both the 2021 Carmine Caruso Competition and the 2019 National Trumpet Competition. He is a frequent sideman for Dom Salvador, Ulysses Owens and Larry Goldings. Peter Glynn is a jazz drummer and teacher that has performed at venues such as Dizzy’s, The Alice Tully Concert Hall, The Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center, and Ornithology.
He is a student of the great Kenny Washington. Andrew Vinther is both a classical and jazz bassist. He is a student of Joseph Conyers. He has performed with Carnegie Hall’s National Youth Orchestra All Stars under Yannick Nézet-Séguin, the Juilliard Orchestra, Juilliard Jazz ensembles.
