Thursday Music Krewe began as a group of like-minded musicians with diverse artistic influences who came together for weekly jazz workshops as a way to express their musical identity and collaborate with each other. The Krewe’s weekly jazz workshops evolved to encompass a steady and ever growing repertoire of jazz across the cannon of American jazz music from bebop to hardbop and beyond.

(L)os Rítmicos are a quintet from New York City that improvises on Brazilian and Afro-Cuban standards. The name roughly translates to “the rhythmists” in both Spanish and Portuguese. They incorporates various rhythms and styles from South America and the Caribbean including samba, bossa nova, MPB, calango, mambo, songo, cha-cha-cha, bolero, and more.
