The New York City-based BlackBox Ensemble opens their 2024 BLACKBOX FEST with an evening of performances at ShapeShifter Lab! The night begins with a program of works by new and frequent BlackBox collaborators including Paul Novak, Bobby Ge, Jessica Meyer, Baldwin Giang, and Yaz Lancaster. Then, stick around for a late night concert of solo and chamber works by Brittany J. Green, Kaija Saariaho, Nina Shekhar, Lucy McKnight, Paul Kerekes, Yaz Lancaster, and a new electro-acoustic work by BlackBox members Tyler Neidermayer and jc clancy. The festival continues the following evening, Sunday, January 21, with an interdisciplinary music and movement performance at Roulette.
