The group is composed of one big band and two small ensembles that perform Latin jazz and standard jazz pieces and showcase the finest young talent from across all NYC boroughs. \nFounded in 2010 by Arturo O’Farril and managed by the Afro Latin Jazz Alliance\,  The Fat Cats is led by Zack O’Farrill with Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra members Jim Seeley\, Berta Moreno\, and Jasim Perales\, as well as Arthur Alvarez and Adam Baksh-García. \nOver the years\, The Fat Cats have taken the stage at New York venues such as the Brooklyn Museum\, New York Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center\, the Frick Collection\, the Greene Space at WNYC\, BRIC House\, Birdland and Brooklyn’s Shapeshifter Lab who has welcomed the band for weekly rehearsals since their 2023-2024 season.

She has four solo albums under her belt along with multiple hit singles frequently played on the radio (and everywhere you listen to your music)\, and a popular livestream show called Sing with Suzi featuring special guests from around the globe that is watched in over 70 countries! Suzi is a staple in Park Slope with her regular playground-packed performances at Old Stone House of Brooklyn\, Brooklyn Public Library\, and Jalopy Theatre. \nMil’s Trills is a Brooklyn-based children’s music project dedicated to creating positive inclusive music-making experiences that strive to empower and embrace young audiences and families. Through joyful collaborative live shows\, engaging albums\, and interactive songwriting web series\, we work to find new creative ways of bringing people together towards a peaceful global community.

DESCRIPTION:The Fat Cats Youth Orchestra Open Workshop and Rehearsals Weekly at ShapeShifter\n  \nSparkling with the sound of young talent\, The Fat Cats is a pre-professional youth orchestra. The group is composed of one big band and two small ensembles that perform Latin jazz and standard jazz pieces and showcase the finest young talent from across all NYC boroughs. \nFounded in 2010 by Arturo O’Farril and managed by the Afro Latin Jazz Alliance\,  The Fat Cats is led by Zack O’Farrill with Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra members Jim Seeley\, Berta Moreno\, and Jasim Perales\, as well as Arthur Alvarez and Adam Baksh-García. \nOver the years\, The Fat Cats have taken the stage at New York venues such as the Brooklyn Museum\, New York Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center\, the Frick Collection\, the Greene Space at WNYC\, BRIC House\, Birdland and Brooklyn’s Shapeshifter Lab who has welcomed the band for weekly rehearsals since their 2023-2024 season.
