SUMMARY:Ricardo Gallo's Horse's Mouth
DESCRIPTION:Ben Goldberg – Clarinet \nSam Kulik – Trombone \nSatoshi Takeishi – Drums \nRicardo Gallo –  Piano & Compositions \n  \nGallo has developed a repertoire with his projects that is a sonic micro-cosmos inspired by the music of Colombia\, elsewhere in Latin America and Africa while creating a logic of its own. The instrumentation of clarinet\, trombone\, piano\, and drums in this project called “Horse’s Mouth” alludes to early small jazz formations in New Orleans and elsewhere\, imagining a bridge between this art form and the musical traditions from South America.
