DESCRIPTION:Performances by: \n– Eleonor Bindman – Solo  concert Piano performance \n– Maya Solovey -Voice  and IIhusa  T-Guitar ( Di ) \n– Adam  Kahan -Bass and Anita Mae – Cello \n– Beverley Grant –  solo guitar and voice  \n– Carolina Davis -alto saxophone solo and electronics with ( DI ) \n\nThe Park Slope Food Coop Concert Series is one of the most exciting initiatives we undertake as a community. With so many gifted and talented members\, creating this series was a natural decision and a no-brainer. \n\n  \nThe baton of music and performance curation was passed on to Jay and Alexis by Beverly Grant—a great artist and long-time member since the inception of the Food Coop. Beverly is an artist\, photographer\, singer-songwriter\, composer\, and activist who has greatly contributed to our community.\nJason Weiner and the membership staff have played a key role in bringing this event to life. We thank them for sharing the same joy and respect for the arts\, which enriches all walks of life.\n  \nBefore the shutdown\, this concert series was a crucial and pinnacle way of bringing us closer together as a community that truly cares about the world around us. Art\, in every aspect of our human experience\, is a life-healing force.\n\nAfter a long hiatus during the pandemic\, the Park Slope Food Coop relaunches their monthly performance series. Featuring Eleonor Bindmam \, Caroline Davis \, Bev Grant\, Adam Kahan and Anita Mae \,Maya Solovey with IIlusha Tsinadze\n  \nAlexis Cuadrado and Jay Rodriguez are both professional musicians\, composers\, and producers. They have expanded the vision of the curation to create a platform for freedom of expression for all. Shapeshifter Lab visionaries Fortuna Sung and Matthew Garrison have also become vital to our mission\, generously providing us with their performance space across the street from the Food Coop.

SUMMARY:Love Call
DESCRIPTION:Max Bessesen – alto saxophone \nEthan Philion – bass \nDevin Drobka – drums \n  \nLove Call is a collaborative trio consisting of saxophonist Max Bessesen\, bassist Ethan Philion\, and drummer Devin Drobka. The trio formed during the height of the pandemic when Philion and Bessesen coped with their lack of performance opportunities by exploring adventurous new repertoire together in private sessions away from the stage. These informal meetings eventually coalesced into an exploration of free improvisation and abstract composition. The duo reunited with longtime-collaborator Devin Drobka when restrictions were lifted and the unit began to collaborate on new music while performing this material publicly around the country. Love Call performs several times a year ever since 2021 even though the group members live in different cities (New York\, Chicago\, Milwaukee). The trio has a distinctive musical approach marked by a congenial sense of trust and a unique\, intuitive group language. Their performances feature free improvisation and compositions by each member of the group.
