SUMMARY:Ines Velasco Large Ensemble  ‘A Flash of Cobalt Blue’ Pre-Album Release Show
DESCRIPTION:‘A Flash of Cobalt Blue’ is Ines Velasco’s debut big band album. The project is a collaboration with award-winning Mexican poet Jorge Esquinca\, and is directly inspired by the poetry of his book ‘Descripción de un brillo azul cobalto’ (‘Description of a flash of cobalt blue’).\n  \n\nThe book travels between past and present\, navigating the Pacific coast of Mexico and wandering through the streets of Paris\, blending memory with imagination\, and sorrow with affection. Jorge’s recorded voice will also be featured as an integral part of the composition themselves.\n  \n\nThis evening will premiere the music written for this project for a 17-piece band before recording it in the studio.
