DESCRIPTION:  \nOnline Advanced Ticket: $20 (online sales close 2 hours before showtime)\nTicket at Door: $25 (available on day of show) \nGreg Tuohey – guitar\nAaron Parks – piano and keyboards\nDavid Ginyard\, Jr – bass\nJongkuk Kim – drums \n\n\n\nA band that flourishes over the course of years is bound to deepen and evolve\, and that is certainly true of Aaron Parks Little Big\, launched by the celebrated pianist in collaboration with guitarist Greg Tuohey\, bassist David “DJ’ Ginyard\, and original drummer Tommy Crane. Now\, with new drummer Jongkuk Kim joining the fold\, the band is preparing for the recording of their third album. The new repertoire continues the band’s cultivation of a musical language that marries creative improvised music to more groove-centered music—electronica\, indie-rock\, hip-hop\, psychedelia\, and more. \n— \n\n\n\n\nSebastian Slomkowski – visual artist \nSebastian Slomkowski\, born in New York City is an artist with a practice focusing on large scale abstract painting. He graduated from University of the Arts London in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art Painting\, after which he maintained a rigorous studio practice moving between London\, Warsaw\, Helsinki and Barcelona. After years of nomadic life in Europe Sebastian moved back to NYC in the summer 2023. \nSlomkowski’s technique is as visceral as it is assembled; heavy oil paint layered on ghosts of thin paint cut the composition into fragments that often seem to want to shoot out of the picture. The space within the paintings is often unidentifiable\, however the paintings themselves occupy the room they inhabit with a definite presence.
