Heroes of Toolik is an long established, New York, avant-folk inflected, new music group: violin, guitar, strange drums and stand-up bass. Guitarist Arad Evans (Glenn Branca, Rhys Chatham) and old-time fiddle specialist Jennifer Coates anchor, composing and sharing vocals. Moppa Elliott (Mostly Other People Do The Killing) joins on stand-up bass and avant-garde stalwart Rohin Khemani appears on diverse and experimental percussion.
